>great house mover<

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

The experience of house moving from an apartment to landed-house really exhausted me. I remember it took total of a week for the entire shifting, not inclusive of unpacking, tidying, cleaning jobs.

We were actually done it all by ourselves as seem daddy got his own truck driver to help. That’s was the ever mistake we made for it. The driver was indeed helpless where most of my furniture got scratched and some interior decorative items were broke accidentally during the unloading process. I was like almost gone mad with it.

I told daddy that we should engage with a professional mover like LA Moving Company for our coming house moving. They are well known as Los Angeles Movers or sometimes people call them as LA Movers. They have a team of experience personnel to help from packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking for all your belongings.

I was inspired by their services provide on furniture & piano moving, to disassembly it and re-assembly after reach at the destination. What’s more, they are giving free use of wardrobe boxes where I don’t need to pack all my clothes but simply snap the hangers into the wardrobe boxes, and they’ll deliver my new closet in pristine conditions. I better call 1-800-431-3920 to get a free moving quote now.

our weekend @ Ikea

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Off the weekend, we went to Ikea (@ Tampines) for a shop. It was having great SALE, I thought of buying the staircase safety gate but out of stock. Thought to buy a garden bench for my balcony, somehow I ended just bought a foldable table for my kitchen use.

Xandria took a packet of colouring pen at the children section and refused to put back. So we had to pay for it. Daddy complaining that she is making it as a habit by having anything or something whenever we go for shopping. I got speechless for it.

Gosh, it was so heavy jam when we on our way return to JB. Imaging, we started to stuck at Singapore custom and it was because of our poor service at M’sia custom.

Back

Finally, I’ve back to my routine work progress. Not because I’ve fully unpack all the packed stuff but, it’s because my boss went to oversea. In another word, I’m having a little bit of ‘ME’ time for blogging.

So how is my new house shifting progress? It’s not fully done but 90% of cleaning, tidying jobs done. It’s really a hard works when you have to do all unpacking and to take care of 2 young children who whined and cried for attention at all time. Goshhh… I’m almost lost my patient to them… Yeah, you might wonder why I had to do all these things by myself when I have a maid who supposes to do it. No, no maid for all my thingy arranging and reallocation, because I don’t wish to be ended asking from ‘hell’ for all my stuff. She is kind a very forgetful person. Many times, daddy asked her about his stuff, she ended saying ‘Tak tau, Tak nampak’ (Don’t know, Didn’t see). Obviously, you can imagine how busy I am.

As for now, they are still quite a number of packed boxes waiting to be unpacked, but I do enjoy my new ‘homely’ home on the mean time. I just love the comfy feeling and the satisfaction toward the interior design from my friend (although it’s not 100% according to her design, but her guidance on renovation work is preciously). Thanks again, my dear!!!

Also, thanks to our uncle who sponsored a 42’ LCD TV (with full HD) to us. Oh mind, now that my mom and Xandria need not to fight for 1 TV.

final drawings….

After a few discussions with my friend, the drawing for my master bedroom is finally out.

Yeah, the decoration on the 2 pillars which unable to remove. I love string curtain…

Also, many thanks to my dearest friend for ‘squeezing’ her time on my living room drawing too. Here are the proposed designs.

Option 1:The divider using String Curtain

Option 2:The divider using Timber Stripe

Aren’t they look nice?? Which one will be your choice?

Master Bedroom design…

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

It’s easy to own a house. Somehow it’s hard when comes to design and decorations.

I’ve been scratching my head on the decoration wise. Both daddy and I were in fact searching & flipping over the interior magazine for the desirable design. However, they are many minor tiny things that we may overlook like colour matching, the deco of furniture & fittings and many more. It’s not easy for DIY indeed. Now that I know why some people will have to hire an Interior Designer for the new house. Their professionalism on renovation works is amazing.

1st view: From the entrance door

2nd view: From the window

3rd view: From the same window toward bed frame.

These are the initial drawings for my master bedroom from my dear friend who is an Interior Designer. Aren’t they amazing?? Can you spot my wedding photo & my kiddos photo on the drawing?? I love the design so much. Thank you so much, my dear…

Customised or IKEA

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Daddy and I agreed to have a ‘walk-in wardrobe’ at our new room. The space is rather not big but I believe it’s sufficient to hang all our clothes except for the kiddos. Though we planned to have a built-in storage compartment due to the small space. Somehow, the rates quoted by the carpenter are so much higher than the price if we go for IKEA ready-made of combination storage.

After counting and measuring the room space, we decided to go for IKEA’s style like below:

It’s rather simple and organised. What’s more the price is reasonable…

Note:
Btw, this is not a paid post ya…

Counting down…

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

27 days to go for us to shift to our new house. Somehow, only 30% of renovation works being done and I asked daddy if we are really have sufficient time for cleaning and tidying work.

Below are the updates on the completion area:
~ floor tiles at balcony & waiting for fences
~ glass window & relocation of entrance for master bedroom
~ wiring for entire house
~ wall tiles at wet & dry kitchen

And the rest of works are yet to start. I’m kind of pissed off with the slow work of the said contractor. Somehow, daddy claimed that slow work will eventually ended with great work. Sighh… let’s wait and see the result…
